“Courage is contagious: When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are stiffened.” Billy Graham

Born on November 7, 1918, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Billy Graham was preaching at an L.A. revival and was a guest on Stuart Hamblen’s radio show in 1949. The publicity made Graham a superstar and he began broadcasting his sermons globally. Graham has been credited with preaching to more individuals than anyone else in history, not counting the additional millions he has addressed through radio, television and the written word.
1. Great leaders build bridges
Graham’s integrity has encouraged millions to heed his spiritual guidance, including Martin Luther King, Jr., Bono, Muhammad Ali and United States presidents from Eisenhower to Obama.  He spent time with people of different ideological views. He developed friendships with people outside his main circles?
2. Great leaders are focused.
While he had offers from Hollywood and United States presidents, Mr. Billy Graham wanted to spend each breath of his life telling people about Jesus.
3. Leaders understand that their gifts will take them far.
Billy Graham had the gift of speaking, as pointed out by one of his mentors. He began developing the gift by spending a lot of his time preaching and evangelizing, and eventually, he became one of the best preachers in the world.
4. Leaders understand the importance of Prayer.
“Prayer is not just asking. It is listening for God’s orders.” Billy Graham
